In July 2010, a netizen named "Walking Fish with a Cat" posted on Tianya's emotional forum with the title "Help: I drew my blood for cooking, please help me get my wife to eat it!"

The author, Yu Hai, a regular company employee with a wife and child, led an uneventful life. However, due to a misunderstanding, he had a quarrel with his wife, which accidentally led to her getting hurt and storming out. She wouldn't answer his calls or reply to his messages, and none of her classmates knew of her whereabouts. Full of regret for his rash actions, Yu Hai expressed his deep love for his wife, who was not only his spouse but also once saved his life. He promised to share that story later but was desperate for her to return home and forgive him, so they could live peacefully for the rest of their lives. Their child, not even a year old, cried daily for his mother, and Yu Hai, unable to care for him alone, had sent the child to his parents. Distraught and without a plan, he was willing to pay any price for his wife's return.

Most shockingly, the author actually live-streamed himself drawing blood for cooking on the internet.

After preparing the "Blood in chili sauce made with human blood", the author wrote this love message to his wife:
